    • Spring Team

      The Spring Team is a group of staff responsible for helping run rentals, preparing for summer programs and performing general site maintenance during May and June. During this season, PVBC places an emphasis on skill training and leadership development. PVBC is looking for team-oriented individuals with positive attitudes and servant hearts to be part of the Spring Team.     • Head Cook:

      This position is responsible for cooking meals, preparing snacks, preparing food for the summer menu and general kitchen maintenance and cleaning. The Head Cook will work together and communicate with the Kitchen Coordinator about kitchen inventory and operations.

    • Head Wrangler:

      This position should be well trained and knowledgeable to conduct equestrian activities. They must be able to write programs, teach classes, and have a basic knowledge of training horses, horse care and use of equipment. They should be familiar with potential environmental hazards, and fully capable of handling all emergencies likely to result from equestrian activities. They should be able to give leadership to groups of campers as well as a team of wranglers.

    • Assistant Wrangler:

      This position must have previous experience with conducting equestrian activities. They should have a basic knowledge of training horses, horse care and use of equipment. They will need to take and implement instructions from the Head Wrangler as well as give leadership to groups of campers.

    • Bikes Leader:

      This position should have biking experience along with knowledge of riding and maintaining bikes. They will be required to learn, plan and develop a bike program in conjunction with the Program Directors for spring and summer. Various other responsibilities will include trail maintenance, developing and maintaining bike obstacles as well as helping with other program skills, site maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations.

    • Climbing Wall Leader:

      This position should have climbing interest, experience and knowledge. It will require maintenance of the climbing wall, obstacle course and equipment as well as building and updating features and climbing routes. They will be responsible for the safety of others in the climbing areas. Various other responsibilities will include helping with other skills, maintenance and other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations.

    • Weaponry Leader:

      This position will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the weapony area and supplies as well as the organization and safety of those in the weaponry area. They will need to inform the Program Directors when supplies need to be ordered. Other duties will include helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations

    • Outdoor Ed Leader:

      This position should have an interest and knowledge of wilderness and bush activities. They will be required to learn, plan and develop an outdoor ed program in conjunction with the Program Directors for spring and summer. Duties will include maintaining and organizing supplies and equipment, leading and guiding groups of people through the back country as well as helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations

    • Creative Arts Leader:

      This position should have an interest and developed skills in creative arts. They will be required to learn, plan and develop a creative arts program in conjunction with the Program Directors for spring and summer. Duties will include gathering, organizing and ordering supplies, leading groups in craft projects as well as helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations

    • Maintenance Crew Chief:

      This position will be required to give leadership to maintenance teams regarding daily tasks and projects. They will oversee day to day maintenance, projects, cleaning and site preparations as well as preparing for and helping with rentals and summer camp.

    • Summer Staff

      Summer camp is at the heart of PVBC and summer staff are the heartbeat. Serve God in a front-line ministry capacity this summer to help campers learn about God, make new friends, develop skills and have a blast doing it. Every summer staff role has a direct impact on both campers as well as your fellow summer staff team. PVBC is looking for staff who have a passion for Christ, a love for people and an enjoyment of the outdoors. If this is you and you are available for some or all of the summer we would love to receive an application from you.

    • Sr Cabin Leader:

      This role is responsible for a group of campers as well as overseeing and mentoring a Junior Cabin Leader. Also involves leading cabin devotions, helping with skills, activities and participating in games and events.

    • Jr Cabin Leader:

      This role works together with a senior cabin leader to provide oversight to a group of campers. Will lead cabin devotions, help with skills, activities and participate in games and events.

    • Head Cabin Leader (1 Male & 1 Female):

      In this role you will serve as a peer leader, support person, and mentor for cabin leaders and support staff. Provide help and assistance in cabins and with camper needs. Is also a direct support to the programmers including support to skill leaders and special events.

    • Breakthrough Leader (1 Male and 1 Female):

      This position will be required to learn, plan and develop the Breakthrough Programs in conjunction with the Program Directors for spring and summer. They will participate in leadership training and development during the spring season and become the Head Cabin Leaders during the summer season.
      Other duties include helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations.

    • Program Assistant:

      This position will be required to learn, plan and develop the summer programs in conjunction with the Program Directors. They will participate in leadership training and development. Duties will include running games, events and giving leadership to other summer staff as well as helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations.

    • Survivor and Wilderness Leader:

      This position will oversee and run Survivor and Wilderness Camps. Helps plan and develop the Survivor and Wilderness programs in conjunction with the Program Directors. During weeks of the summer while Survivor and Wilderness camps are not running, they will be assigned to other roles and responsibilities. This role is best suited for someone with extensive wilderness and survival knowledge and experience. Needs to be able to lead and be responsible for the safety and well-being of a group of campers and staff. In order to properly prepare for this role, including participating in leadership and skill training and development, this staff member should be available to serve as part of PVBC’s spring team.

    • Survival and Wilderness Program Assistant:

      This position provides direct support and assistance to the Survivor and Wilderness Leader. Looking for someone with knowledge and experience in survivor and wilderness skills. A responsible and diligent person who is able to assume responsibility of tasks, programs and campers. Should be well versed in all aspects of the Survivor & Wilderness programs. Able to lead and/or assist in any aspect of the program. When not assisting in running the Survivor or Wilderness camps they will be assigned to other roles and responsibilities.

    • Head Wrangler:

May help with a variety of needs around camp when not assisting with horse skills and activities. Should have completed PVBC’s Advanced Horse Program and/or Breakthrough Wrangling or equivalent. Should have a basic knowledge of horsemanship, horse care and use of equipment.

    • Bikes Leader

    • Paintball Leader

      This position will learn, plan and develop the paintball program in conjunction with the Program Directors for summer. They will be required to organize and order necessary supplies, maintain and repair equipment, and help build and arrange structures and obstacles in the paintball field.
      Other duties include helping with other skills, maintenance and various other tasks around camp for rentals and summer camp preparations.

      This role assists with preparing meals, doing dishes, setting tables, serving food and cleaning the dining hall. May also provide program support if schedule allows.

    • Child Care

      This position involves the care of children of camp staff and volunteers. The number of children and hours needed may vary from week to week. May also include general support in other areas depending on child care schedule. We are looking for someone with a passion for and experience with caring for young children.

    • Support Staff

      This position will help with a variety of tasks including maintenance, kitchen help, sorting lost and found, program support and occasionally may provide assistance in cabins.

    • Maintenance Crew Chief

      This position will be required to give leadership to maintenance teams regarding daily tasks and projects. They will oversee day to day maintenance, projects, cleaning and site preparations as well as preparing for and helping with rentals and summer camp.

    • Maintenance Help

      This position provides assistance with a variety of tasks including maintenance projects, cleaning, trail grooming and more. May also be involved with program help.

    • Videographer

      This role is responsible for filming, editing and producing a weekly highlight video and other media projects as needed. Must have experience filming and editing and ideally own the necessary gear to complete their duties. Also responsible for organizing all footage in a way that is conducive for future use.

    • Photographer

      This role is responsible for taking photos of each camp, special event, activities and producing a weekly slideshow. Also responsible for organizing all photos in a way that is conducive for future use.

Our goal is to gain relationships with campers in a well-balanced program of recreation, camping instruction, and Bible teaching, carried out by committed Christian staff. Thus the camp focuses on the spiritual, physical, social and educational development of the camper through strategic avenues.
